Since back surgery in 2006, I have consistently used these walkers and walking aids to help me get around. I have probably gone through 5 or 6 Rollator Walkers and have no complaints, except they are all too small for me. I live in my walker outside and use it to haul dirt to the garden, food to the animals, and flowers to the far out sections of the acreage. I am a photographer and carry 3 cams with me on my nature walks, and carry a huge purse with me while shopping. This is very stylish looking and I like how it is a bit wider so all my stuff can fit on it. The wheels look different to me to, they might be easier to clean in the winter after refilling all the animals food. I'm excited to get this, so I will finish and now order this one. I will let you know in a few days how I like it...Thank You
This is such a highly versatile walker where shall I begin... It's so efficient and effortless to use; in everyday situations. Whether your at the mall, grocery store or taking cruises out of the country! The Nitro fits easily in to my suv's rear seat area or trunk; I love its oversized front wheels and foldability. I've gotten many complementary praises on this wonderful walker and many people noticed the generous seating and storage pouch in the front. I also purchased another Rollator for my sister as a gift and boy was she totally thrilled. I love my Nitro Walker it's pure quality and that Red "Vroom-Vroom color is rocking the house! Many Thanks From...A Happy Lady..
PROS —Sturdy —Compacts easily —Hidden brake lines —Attractive design —Quality materials CONS —Heavy —Storage limited, inconveniently located —Less ideal for indoor use —Seat not entirely comfortable —Too much space between handles and brake release Even with my substantial list of cons, I could not give this rollator anything less than 4 stars. Yes, the Nitro DLX Euro Style Walker Rollator is almost 10 pounds heavier than the classic rollator my mother has been using for the past several years. And, yes, the handbrakes are at a greater distance from the handles, requiring her to remove her hands entirely from the handles just to release the brakes, unlike her previous rollator, which simply allowed her to rest her palms securely on the handles while using her fingers to release the handbrakes. It seems the rollator fixes one problem but creates another. The large wheels that are ideal for tackling the tough terrain outdoors seem a bit bulky for our carpeted place indoors, where my mother spends most of her time. Also, while the extension of these large wheels ensure a sturdy support, they can encumber accessibility to objects within forward reach. YET, compared to most other rollators I’ve seen, Drive’s Nitro Euro Style is the Mercedes of its field when it comes to aesthetics and innovation. The sleek, modern design definitely reduces that medical, or elderly, stigma that is easily associated with standard walkers. And, for me as the caregiver in particular, the ability to fold it in one easy step — just lift the handle in the center of the seat and the entire frame compacts — has made traveling with my mother a bit less demanding, despite the heavier weight when lifting the rollator into the car. My mother, of course, likes the sturdiness of her new “ride,” as she calls her rollators. The deduction of the star is primarily due to the storage. The storage beneath the seat of my mother’s former ride, which was like her trunk space, allowed her to transport small items from one room to the next, and could be accessed simply by lifting up the padded seat. Not to mention that the flat seat enabled her to carry her tray of food to the table without spillage (the seat on the Nitro DLX is rounded). But the smaller storage bag of the Nitro Euro Style forces her to lean farther over to store/retrieve items, which poses a significant challenge for someone whose equilibrium is already insecure. I hope Drive will continue to improve upon this model to help an aging and health-challenged community who longs for better products.
This is a larger, heavy-duty rollator/walker. Was a godsend when I injured my foot. I like that it has a seat, so when I'm standing in line, I don't have to stand. Hand brakes are a good feature and there's a little basket under the seat to store my purse. Overall, a very good buy.
