My doctor loaned me the Omron 3 to use for 6 weeks to check daily and adjust medication. Once it was under control I returned it to the office, but wanted to continue monitoring. The price is great and the product is really easy to understand and use.
I have had my Omron 7 series for about six weeks. I read articles from Mayo Clinic and they said that suggested this brand. I like the quietness of it. Two reasons it's not perfect, and it has nothing to do with the workings of it, one is the wrist band is too long and second it could use a backlight for nightime readings. I have to take my BP during the night and always have to turn a light on to see the reading. Other than that I recommend it, very easy to use.
I am a senior, who never suffered from hypertension unto about six months ago. The doctor requested that I take my blood pressure on a daily basis. I never knew where to place my arm with another company's wrist monitor until I purchased the Omron. When the light changes from yellow to blue I know to stop moving my arm. As an added feature, I can electronically capture my readings from the monitor to the website and produce data that allows me to upload to another program where I produce charts and graphs of my progress. After about four months of diet changes and exercise, I have been able to reduce my blood pressure to a normal range. Thank you Omron.
I just bought this when my old arm model (not Omron) gave out after 10 years. I like the wrist unit better - but I can't download to the computer!? Really??? Even my 10 year old machine had computer download capability. Apologize, Omron...This is the 21st century, join us.
