  • Amazing, Beyond Expectations!
    Verified Purchase

I am so in love with these brushes. I am a novice, looking to improve my makeup application skills. I looked around for a set that would be affordable but still decent quality to practice with. These brushes went above and beyond my expectations! They are soft, silky face brushes. It feels luxurious sweeping powder across my face. There are enough different size eye brushes for eyes of any shape and size. The brushes pick up color well. All the tools you can dream of are there. I like the square squirrel brush for foundation, and the fan brush to remove eyeshadow remnants. I researched some makeup blogs and figured out they are same as "Crown Brushes," turns out they were a distributor to Crown for some years, using private labeling. The quality is beyond belief, so I highly recommend this set at this price for anyone! The only complaints I would have this set is there are no guidelines or instructions on which tool is which. That would have been helpful. Also, I was disappointed with Overstock because it was packaged in a bubble wrap instead of placed into a box.

  • Great buy!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my brush set. I'm a make-up fanatic and I needed to buy a larger set of brushes for a reasonable price. This set was a perfect fit! Love it!

  • Great Brushes!!!!
    Verified Purchase

Being a first time user of such a large brush collection, I did do some research before purchasing. I love using these brushes. Learning more with makeup and the different things I can do with all these brushes is exciting. As with my other brush collection sometimes the hair is left on my face but not a big deal as it will happen anyway. The brushes are very soft and yes it does have a strong order when first taking out of the package but I let it sit open for a couple days and the smell was gone. They are great brushes to have and thinking of ordering a set for my sisters:-)

  • Just Perfect
    Verified Purchase

I shopped for weeks to find the perfect brush set that had all the brushes I needed. Amazingly, this brush set had every single brush I was looking for except for a foundation/concealer brush. And, it was priced VERY reasonably. In all honesty, if I bought each brush separately that would have been well over $300 at the quality I was looking for (that's about $15/brush). I would highly recommend this set to all makeup users, even professionals.

  • Almost too good of a deal

Pros: natural fibers (real animal hair) and made in USA Cons: The materials used to manufacture these brushes are very chemically and off-gassy -- I am pretty sensitive to smells so that bothered me. Every time I used a brush it smelt heavily of intense industrial adhesive. What I ended up doing is soaking them for about an hour in a diluted white vinegar and water mixture, then dried them in a towel, and let them air dry in a vase (brush ends pointing up). I also washed the case they came in and let it air dry. After airing it out for about 5 days the smell was gone and I can happily use the brushes again. The soaking did cause the paint lacquer on the brush handles to begin cracking. You get what you pay for - $**** for this large set means the quality isn't spectacular, but hey, it does the job considering I used the same Aveda brushes for 10 years! Some of the brushes / tips are totally unnecessary - like the one that is your standard eye shadow sponge tip that you get with any compact of Cover Girl eye shadow. Who cares about that!
