This was my 2nd purchase of a Prairie View self-supporting Threshold Ramp. After Total Knee Replacement surgery, thresholds proved challenging. The 1st ramp was placed by the backdoor, the 2nd ramp at a shop threshold. The construction was strong, the emory material finish for traction was functional. It is a great transitional ramp. My husband, who has good knees, likes it as well. It helps my indoor/outdoor Catahoula with his nails, and keeps his foot pads smooth. This ramp is a great quality of life/safety addition to our household.
Very sturdy bench. Exactly what I need for my lack of mobility and flexibility. I had no trouble assembling the unit. Just wait to tighten all bolts after threading them through the legs and braces to make it easier to put together.
My husband used this very well when he had to shower in a bathtub as a bridge over the tub. It is good to have some instruction about its use. Worth considering if you have any doubts about safety in the shower.
This size was a little pricey, but I had a gift card and used it for half of the cost. I didn't need it for a wheelchair, I needed it to help me get large items in and out of my SUV without straining my back. I also needed a ramp for my shop building in the backyard. This was less expensive than having a permanent ramp made. The extended lip will be useful when I decide to bolt it down to the shop doorway permanently. The only downside for me are the raised edges meant for safety. I will have to modify the entry to the shop so the doors will clear them and still close properly.
