To start out with, they were easy to put on my walker. They roll over the threshold to my apartment and the thing that is between the carpet and the floor-- the metal strip to hold the carpet down. And they roll over the metal in the doorway to the elevator-- before I had to pick up my walker a bit to get into the elevator. Now I have to get used to my swivel wheels-- this is the first day.
With the 8 inch wheels, this will go anywhere inside or out. East to use with adjustable handles which go up and can be lowered as well so I do not have to stoop over while walking with it. Not bad at all to sit on if you get tired with the comfortable back and padded seat. Also love the compartment underneath to put things in. It even has a zippered place to put your things like change, bills etc. So happy with the purchase !
The Chair does what it is suppose to do, the only issue I have is that it does not lock open, it is the weight of the person sitting in it that keeps it open. It has a seat belt that I recommend using, when going over thresholds or down a bumpy slop it helps. The other issue that I have is it "Smells" like machine oil. I have not gone over it yet to see where it's coming from but I'm sure the wheel bearings or axles. Other than that I have no regrets bung this. It has allowed us to take our 94 year old mother places with us that we could not before. She can walk but not far or for long, so this really helps us.
My husband can use this for short trips around the house. We added a pad to make it higher for him (he's quite tall), but the foot rests were long enough for his long legs. There is one thing to remember. You can't lean backwards in it or it will fall over.
