Even though this product is not the top of the line in quality I gave it 5 stars for design and performance AND quality. Just to be clear, the mirror itself is excellent, that's not where I'd bump down the quality rating. The only real quality issue is in durability. But this is the second one I purchased, and I tried others in between (like the kind you suction to the mirror, which are nice and portable, but you break your back leaning into them; and like the countertop lighted kind, which was impossible to situate myself in front of). So back to quality, after approx 5 years the mirror fell off the support, the pivot device having worn down/worn out. But then I use it every day, and probably multiple times a day (gotta check that makeup, and look for spinach between the teeth). So I've returned to this mirror for a reason--it's the best value/performance/price. It's simple to adjust both height and angle, no unscrewing anything, it works on weight and gravity, which is excellent. Then pushes back against the wall, equally easily, if you want it out of your way. If you can live with replacing it every five years or so, maybe longer since I moved a few times while I had the first one, then you won't be disappointed at all. Now if they'd just make in in brushed silver...
This is the perfect make up mirror. I don't know how I made it without it. On top of being supremely functional, it looks absolutely gourgeous on my vanity❣️
what i don't like about this one. on/off switch is on the cord itself. if you have trouble with hands, don't purchase. it's the wheel type switch. the cord is attatched to the top of the mirror, which means you will need a closer outlet. the lighting is not that bright. it more like a 70 watt bulb. the magnification is ok. i like 10x better the plus side. it is tall, no need to prop to see your face. the size of the mirror is good for putting on makeup. you will have your entire face in the mirror. the base is smallish. won't take up too much room on your table. it is a nice metal. not gaudy. i give it 1 1/4 thumbs up. and the image on overstock as usual is deceptive. its not that bright at allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.
This mirror was actually larger than I thought it was going to be. It seems to be a bit top heavy so don't keep it near the edge of the vanity. And because of the height, it is not easy to use on my vanity..just too tall. Also, it heats up very quickly. And because of the large size, it will be difficult to travel with..glad I kept my other makeup mirror for traveling. It does seem to be well made and should last a while..not sure how much of a hassle changing the bulb will be. I do think the price was a little expensive for what you get but that's just my opinion.
