  • Wrong straightener
    Verified Purchase

I ordered the straightener that is pictured and described on the website, however, when I received the straightener it was not what was shown on the website. When a replacement item was sent, I still experienced the same problem. Use caution when ordering the item, it is not what it shown and is not the same quality as what is pictured.

  • Flat Iron
    Verified Purchase

This flat iron was so reasonably priced on Overstock.com that I thought there surely was a mistake. However, after recieving it and using it everyday since the purchase, " boy" was I proven wrong! The flat iron not only looks nice but is easy to use and very hot. Thank you Overstock.com!

  • go for it.

i had this flat iron for about 3 years now. i use it everyday. my plates are starting to peel but i think its because i leave it on for long period of times. it does leave my hair feeling nice and shinny. no cpmplaints there. it doesnt get as hot as it uses to but i think its time for a new flat iron. i say go for it. its a great price and does the job well.

  • good for a cheap flat iron

I've had this iron for over 2 yrs and it works fine on my hair (very thick and curly), but the purple paint on the heating plates has completely burned off and there are cracks between the plates and the plastic which catch strands of my hair EVERY time I use it...it also doesn't hold heat for long, so I have to give it a rest about half way through straightening my hair to re-heat! So, while I think it's a good value for the money, I'm asking for a CHI for Christmas! Time to step it up to something faster and that doesn't pull out or break off my hair.

  • Works GREAT, but take your time!
    Verified Purchase

This works great! I'm endlessly amazed by how well the Hot Tools Ceramics line works, and this flat iron was no exception. It leaves my hair shiny and straight, and it doesn't feel dried out or charred. When I'm in a rush and "grabbing" larger chunks of hair with it, I'll occasionally get strands caught in between the metal and the plastic. Ouch! That's my own, fault, though. When I'm using appropriately-sized clumps, it works like a charm! Even works great for a little "bump" in my bangs or at the tips. I'd definitely recommend this iron!

  • Not Bad

Easy enough to use, but poor quality. Within the first 3 months, the purple coating had already started to peel off. Skip this one, and go for another brand.
