I previously had a different Sonicare model toothbrush and didn't think this one could be much different, but the reviews were good and I believe it's important to invest in the care of my teeth to avoid problems in the future. I could immediately sense that this model was superior in how much cleaner my teeth felt. I've had it for a couple months now and it did something unexpected. I had braces that were removed about 10 years ago and a dull thin horizontal line remained on one of my front teeth. I thought it was enamel that had worn off by the removal of the braces, or maybe from the wire of the retainer that I had to wear. It was not noticeable (unless inspected upon), but it caused the annoyance of having lipstick or gloss collect across this dull line on my tooth. I had to deal with this for 10 years, until now. Apparently that dull line wasn't enamel that was scraped off, but that glue/cement or whatever it is that binds the metal to your teeth. Now my entire tooth is glossy and there's no evidence of that dull line. I can't believe that out of the many years I have been using electric toothbrushes, this is the only one that has managed to remove it in such a short period of time. Along with having cleaner teeth, I'm happy that I can freely wear my lipstick without any nuisance.
Let me tell you first that this model is just GREAT. You definitely get what you pay for, and toothbrushes make no exception. I know it might seem a bit too expensive, but the features speak by themselves. 5 cleaning modes are enough to make this toothbrush a Must Have, and your dentist will see improvements in your oral care by the next visit. Or at least that's what happened to me (and my wife), after 2 months of use. I found this model at http://www.electrictoothbrushking.com/ and bought it a few days later after comparing the top models on the market- I decided to go for a high end brush, and this seemed great. And it is.
