I have been looking for an old fashioned ice bag for a while, but apparently they aren't sold in drug stores any more. The new gel pack are OK, but the cold doesn't last long and I didn't think you could take them onto an airplane. However an ice bag that you fill up once past security is OK. I used a ziplock bag in a pinch, but they don't form as nicely to the body. This ice bag serves its purpose and is long lasting. I guess these fell out of practice because I guess you could get too cold from them. But if you do what I do and fill with ice and water you'll have no problem.
Large enough to cover neck and shoulder pain areas. Can be used hot or cold. Good price and quantity sufficient to give one to friends or family that are in need.
Great size. Stays cold for an hour or so. Since you get plenty in this order, you can always have a couple in the freezer waiting for when you need it. Haven't used the hot/cold pack hot but I can't imagine that it would be anything but superb.
This circulates ice water, keeps it's cold for hours. This is a much for a recovering joint replacement patient, and for those who would benefit from any ice pack bigger than the small size. Kept my husband from needing pain pills during the day after 2 knee replacements. The tubing will start degrading after a few years, and then I'll buy another.
