After tons of review readings I settled on this scale because it seemed to carry the most accuracy. It's been three months now and it reads reliably. All of these types of scales have some kind of algorithm that calculates the variables, but this one seems to have a more pronounced skew between the genders. I created two user profiles with only the gender varying and it was ridiculous how some of the readings changed, especially visceral fat. The other thing you want to be careful of is how high up you hold the sensors while taking the initial weight. The scale is sensitive and any slight shift or lift can throw off the numbers. On the whole it's a good machine with lots of options but the same limitations as many of the rest.
I like this scale, though I don't use all the functions as I thought I would. You definitely need something to write on when this thing cycles through all of the measurements because it takes awhile to put a number like body fat percentage into context. It takes a little stamping on to get it to turn on, but I guess that's my only complaint.
