This works, but I have since found one that is much better for going over the threshold of a sliding glass door. This one needs to be readjusted every time I go out as the only place it can rest is too close to the screen door runner. I would not buy this one again for that door although the same style works fine for a regular door threshold. I have three on other exterior doors.

I bought 2 to fit on either side of the door threshold so my husband could roll his wheelchair across the threshold himself and I would have an easier time pushing him across the threshold. This doesn't work at all. the part that fits on the threshold is rounded instead of flat so a "dip" is formed and my husband is still unable to get across the threshold.

  • Basic Lowly (taken for granted) Threshold Ramp

There is not much to this ramp, so getting it right is not hard. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it so well that soon you do not think about it. I bought 4 of these. Very useful.

These ramps have made my life as a caretaker much easier relative to entering bathroom and exiting the home via wheelchair. Before I had to use my foot to tilt the wheelchair and occupant backwards to use these rooms/exit. Now the wheelchair rolls so easily that my husband can manuever the wheelchair himself if necessary and I can roll him with a continuous motion rather than stopping and leveraging the wheelchair. I would recommend them to anyone in similar disability situations.
