I just got this bag today. Whipped open the box, untied the bag, and plopped right into it. Overall a great bag for a camp. PRO's- #1- The zipper has a red plastic guard on it for when you are zipping it up. Good idea for keeping the snaggle-monster from stopping you. #2- Good size. Roomy inside (I am 5'10" 185ish) and after a day in camp I know I would sleep soundly. #3- I liked the color cuz it made me feel a little old school. #4- Seems as if it had great loft to it. Good to create a thermal barrier when you are snoozin'. #5- Nice simple little pocket on the inside. Looks to be perfect for that iPhone. It would rest right by a teen's chest so all they could breathe in safety... ("Where's my phone!! How many likes are on my instagram pic!? I need to snapchat or I'll die!!) CON's- What was ok, but not great... I think my only 2 complaints are #1- The inside fabric was a little stiff and had a mechanical smell to it. Not a deal breaker by any means, but I am sure after a wash in the ole machine it will soften up and improve the smell. Maybe sitting on the clothes line will be good to air it out too. #2- I saw some reviews about the shoe string enclosures to keep it stored. Soo... Coleman missed the mark a little on it. The top of the bag (Where your head would be) has a fabric square attached to the bag. When rolling it up, that fabric piece will wrap around the bag, and on the ends are two strings to keep it together. I can see that the fabric or strings will not take much use. Good idea and Coleman gave 'er a try, but... oh well. Take 'er back to RnD fellas! I will most likely trim that off and get a simple cinch strap from *** ******** World famous ****. Those 2 things kept me from making it a 5. Wish they had a 4.5 star. I would buy this product again if I needed another. Hope I was helpful!
First ever review: Purchased (2) for use inside an RV with a queen sized bed 60" X 74" . These bags were chosen for size, materials and warmth rating. First criteria was size: Length, did not want the bags hanging off the end of the mattress, (limited space to walk around) so at 75 inches in length they are a nice fit. Width is good as well once a body is inside the bag. Second criteria was materials: 100% cotton was the desire, soft and non slip. These bags are replacing traditional bedding, which is a pain in the cramped quarters of an RV bedroom. Third criteria warmth: These are bags were rated for use between 30 and 50 degrees and when it gets a little to cold, the RV has a propane heater or we zip the bags together and share the heat. The colors are relatively easy on the eyes and the price was most reasonable. Regular ground shipping was ahead of schedule and they were wrapped and boxed new. These bags would not be a choice for outdoor back packing, based on bulk and weight. These bags would be rated excellent if they were in tan, beige or brown. My wife is adjusting to the colors. I personally like the colors.
For the time of year that we went camping we found that the sleepbag works great for the weather we was in. Can't wait to test the temperture that it was rate for so we can get the full effect of the bag.
