I didn’t realize this couldn’t be updated to the current IOS. It’s slow and because it can’t be updated, you loose many features. I didn’t understand when it said what version it was, that it couldn’t be updated. Waste of money.
I have always bought preowned iPads and loved them and told myself they were perfectly serviceable and worked fine but secretly wanted a new one. Now as many of the apps I use are no longer able to be updated because the IOS on my iPad could no longer be upgraded. I thought it was time to not only move on to a different pad but to buy new for a change. What can I say? I am loving it - not only updating my old apps but adding a few new ones. It supports on demand video and has plenty of memory. Do I need this with already having a laptop and desktop, etc? No, but I am really enjoying it. So easy transferring everything from old iPad. My old iPad 2 would sometimes blink out right in the middle of a game. The sharpness of the picture on this iPad 2017 is superior to previous iPads I've used and is definitely easier on the eyes. Once I decided I wanted to buy new, I did research for the best price and considering the memory of this iPad, I think this was a terrific buy. Very fast delivery and I'm enjoying my new toy.
I recently upgraded to the 2017 iPad from a much earlier version (iPad 2) and am so happy I did. I've not had any issues with lag like other non-Apple tablets, and so far it has ran everything I've thrown at it. The features of the newer iOS didn't take long for me to become accustomed to. One thing I *really* like about iPads is that apps don't eat through the internal storage, and both backups & photos are saved on the cloud automatically - so I can access my pics from my pc on the fly. The battery life on this is amazing - again, so much better than the non-Apple tablets I'm accustomed to, and it's fairly equivalent to the iPad 2 I had. I can stream video services all day & not have to worry about the battery dying (which typically, on a binge-watch-kind-of-day, would be 8-10 hours). It also charges fairly quickly. The camera is pretty decent quality-wise - I won't win any photography awards but it's fine for casual captures. It took me awhile to justify the cost of upgrading, but I'm so very glad that I did. It's now replaced not only my older iPad, but my other non-Apple tablets as well, and has become my go-to-device for almost everything.
The IPad arrived in excellent condition. It looks brand new with the exception of the generic packaging which was disclosed by the seller. So no issues there. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because the iPad can not be updated to the most recent IOS and is only a 9.7. I wish that was disclosed. Other than that, It’s a good IPAd for the price. Perfect for a kid or for someone who doesn’t need a newer IOS.
