  • Very poor quality

I purchased this some time back and it was very poorly made. All of the components didn't work and it wasn't sturdy at all. It literally fell apart and the speakers didn't work well at all.

Disappointed does not even come close to describing how terrible this product is. Here are the most important things you need to know. 1) It is old technology and is not supported in the newer formats. It is MP3, which sounds correct, but most new music, especially iTunes is in MP4. I had to consider converting all of my MP3 files to MP4 files and now we are talking 500 times for 500 songs. This of course does not include video, photos, etc. 2)The speaker volume on the device is so low at its highest level that you can barely here anything playing with the ear-buds in your ears and the player on full blast. 3) The supporting external speakers have no volume control at all, so when the player is plugged into the speakers you still don’t hear anything more than a faint whisper of a sound. 4) After getting three very young and technical people together to figure it out, and they could not, they just looked at me like “don’t ever buy anything again without checking in with us first. Great, just great! I sent it back!

The iHip was in great condition and has held up well to young children throwing it around, however, the battery does not last the five hours that is supposed to last. In fact it hardly lasts fifteen minutes even when it is on a volume of six. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
