The modem/wireless router works really well. The only downside is it has very bright flashing lights so in the evening it is pretty bright. But other than that, a great product.
Tested it with INSTEN 150m Mini USB Wireless LAN Adapter that i got at overstock for under $5.00 Works as it should, good coverage especially with clear line of sight. Use it in my truck and love it, the only thing the magnet is not too strong, I wouldn't go more than 60 MPH with it still attached. Other than that its a great buy.
I have owned and been using this router for a little over a month now on a cable 10 Meg ISP. I have 2 hardwired 1 Gig network feeds and multiple b, g and n wireless running on this router. I do a pretty good bit of pc repairs / builds and have pushed this router pretty hard for update and set up feeds while I'm still surfing the net or streaming netflix vids. I have tried PS3 gaming online a few times on wireless with no problems. The router has a lot of advanced options. Set up of router, guest account, remote URL and security features was easy for me, Moderate knowledge of networks and pc's. I have never had to reset this router for any reason even with 3 pc's using large bandwidth down and up feeds. The USB 2.0 is awesome for a network drive, mine works great. Signal strength I have not really messed with much, I pull great signal but I'm pretty much on top of the router so I can not comment much on the distance subject.
This router may cost a bunch but you get what you pay for in routers. I was sick of spending 80 to 100 on a router and it either dies or it does not handle the traffic well. With more and more wireless devices in our home it has not even skipped a beat. I have a bunch of home automation items running on wireless and it works great. I would recommend spending the money. It is worth it.
