Please note: Verizon's "variant" of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are completely SIM unlocked and ready to be used with another SIM of your choosing — for example, T-M***** networks. Unlike the models from some other carriers, there aren't any extra hoops to go through on the Verizon Galaxy S7 / Edge — if you want to use another carrier's SIM, just pop it in and you're basically good to go. The phone will likely switch to a "Global" network mode once it detects a non-Verizon SIM, but you can switch over to "LTE/GSM/UMTS" mode under "Mobile networks" in the settings in a matter of seconds. Chances are the phone won't load the proper APN settings for the carrier (which makes sense), but those are easy enough to find and enter manually as well. This product is excellent. This is my 2nd one. I definitely suggest purchasing the extended damage contract. I used my damage contract on my prior S& Edge. I needed another phone and didn't want to buy the ALL GLASS S8 line. I had seen tons of them for resale online after being cracked within days of purchase -- The price of beauty? LIkely, the next iteration will have even stronger "Gorilla" Glass.
I needed a new phone with more memory and I loved my last Samsung phone. I haven't had any problems with the mechanics of Samsung products and most of the people in my house own Samsung phones. The blue color is a nice change, too, from the normal white or black choices out there.
IDK if I hit silver by mistake, but that is what I received. I really wanted the gold, but the silver looks good also so no biggie. The phone is set up for use with Verizon, but it is unlocked. I am using it with a Cricket SIM. It is working fine so far. I just wish I could get rid of all the Verizon bloatwear. The phone arrived quickly and in pristine condition. There are no scratches or signs of previous usage. I am very happy with my purchase.
