This phone is very light weight. The base should be weighted. But disconnect the wire from the base and it works fine. It can be mounted to the wall but the handset falls off the base.

this phone is very plastic and light weight. when you pick up the receiver or hang it up you get a squeeking feed back type of sound that is annoying. the base is so light weight that when you pick up the handset, the entire base slides off the table and hangs in mid air. I bought this phone since my husband is hard of hearing and it does have an adjustment for that. we also wanted to have a land line for emergencies. i wish it was better made.

The phone was well packaged and looks brand new. It sounds clear and the buttons are easy to use. The only drawback is the cord attaches to the phone handset directly and can not be removed, so you can't put an extention cord in the base, but as long as you plan to plug it straight into the phone jack, its a great phone, and reaches pretty far without needing an extention cord, and I am very happy with it after using it for more than a week.

This phone is just average at best. Next time I'll spend a little more to get better quality.
