I used this item to mount a 46" TV to my family room wall. The mount is made of a very good low gauge (i.e. thick) steel and came with multiple bolts, washers, etc. for multiple mounting scenarios. The instructions were easy to follow. I did purchase two additional anchors that go in drywall only (to be extra safe) as only two of your three sets of mounting screws will hit wall studs. The downside to the mount is that the internal bubble level may not be accurate. I utilized the bubble at first but noticed the mount seemed off prior to final installation. After confirming with two other bubble levels, I found that the level on the actual mount was not accurate. You may have better luck with your mount's level, but the rule "measure twice and cut once" can certainly apply with leveling before drilling holes into your wall.
It took a long time to get the tv mounted, but I had it installed by a pro as he was mounting another tv. The tilt is just right for watching TV in bed. I'm thrilled to have the tv on the wall. I didn't know it would make such a difference.
This was so easy to mount on the wall. I cut out a piece of plastic the size of my tv and tape it on the wall this way I knew what it would look like it move it up and down to get it where I wanted it and than I put up the mounting bracket go to Wal-Mart and get a pack of wall inserts to put in the wall for extra support like you would hang pictures with get the ones with the screws with it the tv's are heavy and secures the mount better took me 10 minutes to do and if I can do it you can too
