I bought this tv and the 3-year warranty. I'm glad I got the warranty. Within a day, the tv started making a loud buzzing noise and shut itself off in the middle of a program. It also kept dropping the wi-fi. I called Overstock and they sent me a replacement - without requiring the defective television to be returned first. I have 45 days to return the old one and the great thing is that I can use the box from the new one. I've not had any issues with the replacement, but I haven't had time to watch more than one program this week, so I'm just assuming it's fine. I'm very happy with the picture and sound, but I don't like the remote. It's awkward and I'm hoping to find a universal replacement. All in all, it's a good value for the price when you get one that works.
This is our second samsung tv and was mounted on the wall in our bedroom. The picture is crystal clear and has many goodies like wi-fi and built in speakers when you don't have room for home theater setups. I would reccommend this tv to everbody that needs a new tv
We recently bought this 40" Samsung TV to replace an aging color TV (it was so old, it had a picture tube!). The Samsung is very easy to set up and begin using. It is lightweight and can easily be moved from one part of the room to another. The picture and color quality is excellent. The only minor downside is that, with the speakers being on the back of the set, you may want to consider buying a soundbar (which we did). Also, if you use NetFlix, Hulu, etc., you may want to buy a DVD player with Wi-Fi connectiviity (which we also did), so that you can watch those services on the Samsung. All in all, it's an excellent set, great value for the money, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quality TV for their viewing pleasure.
