I have cancer and have set up a flat-screen television, DVD player & stereo system in my bedroom. For convenience to me, the stereo system and DVD player have been placed close to my bed for easy access. The 25' HDMI cable was perfect for my needs because of the distance from the television. I also ordered 3 - 3' cables also and would recommend these cables to anyone.
With just the DisplayPort Male to HDMI Female Adapter plugged into the Asus Z97-A motherboard I purchased from Overstocked the 48 inch LG flat screen television I purchased from a local pawn shop now has the same sound quality as my 42 inch Vizio flat screen I purchased from aunt. My Lubuntu 16.04 with the Gnome desktop under All Settings - Sound - sees it as HDMI / DisplayPort - GK208 HDMI/DP Audio Controller. And the sound quality seems clear, distinct and with good bass.
