I purchased the system to help keep a video security log of what's happening on my property. I liked it because it is a full 1080P video camera and is power over ethernet which meant I only had to pull one cable to each camera. I can access the video feed from anywhere in the world using my phone or tablet and works very good overall. With five cameras installed recording full-time full frame video I can manage to get six days of video stored on the 2 TB of storage. Overall this is a very good system and I would recommend it for others looking to get into for a similar system.
I received the system yesterday and connecting the wires was pretty straight forward. When trying to view on my TV via HDMI there was no picture. "invalid format". I needed to connect to the NVR IP address via my laptop in order to change the image resolution and restart the NVR. The image then displayed on my TV. The desktop browser support by the firmware is outdated and I still can't get the camera images to display on Chrome, Safari or Firefox even with the recommended FireFox configs or Mac installation files to fix Safari. I did download the LaView Connect app for android and that was able to connect to the NVR IP address and display the cameras. The android app supports live and historical views so I won't bother trying to fix the desktop browser issues. I can use the desktop browser to manage other configurations just not view the cameras.
