I received the system yesterday and connecting the wires was pretty straight forward. When trying to view on my TV via HDMI there was no picture. "invalid format". I needed to connect to the NVR IP address via my laptop in order to change the image resolution and restart the NVR. The image then displayed on my TV. The desktop browser support by the firmware is outdated and I still can't get the camera images to display on Chrome, Safari or Firefox even with the recommended FireFox configs or Mac installation files to fix Safari. I did download the LaView Connect app for android and that was able to connect to the NVR IP address and display the cameras. The android app supports live and historical views so I won't bother trying to fix the desktop browser issues. I can use the desktop browser to manage other configurations just not view the cameras.
I forgot to tell my husband I installed it at front door. He almost had a heart attack when he opened door. At least I know that no one is coming in quietly at night!
These cameras are perfect for monitoring around your home or business. Installation was a bit of a challenge due to climbing through my attic, but it was worth every second. The picture is clear, and have many different options on the DVR. I am planning on purchasing more cameras to complete the 8 channels available.
We bought one of these systems for our daughters family and they had it hooked up and running before i even got there. It was easy to connect and get the video on all the cameras. the remote app on the phone had some trouble but support had us reinstall it and all the cameras are able to be seen at the house from the phone. Definitely a good system for those that want easy.
