I'm having a hard time thinking of anything negative to say about this product. Everything is well-made, well-designed, and simply works just as it should. Having never installed/setup a security camera system before, once I began looking at the manual, the task seemed a bit daunting. However, the YouTube tutorial videos that have been made available were priceless and made the whole process much easier than anticipated. Once the head-end (NVR) was configured and cables run, just connected/installed the cameras and everything was good to go. Now able to check camera video feed using LaView NET app via my Android phone and my iPad (once again following directions provided via YouTube video). At this point I honestly can't think of anything that needs improving.
I work with commercial video surveillance all the time, although this system is not commercial quality, many thousands of dollars more. It is great for home use. I'm very pleased
I received the system yesterday and connecting the wires was pretty straight forward. When trying to view on my TV via HDMI there was no picture. "invalid format". I needed to connect to the NVR IP address via my laptop in order to change the image resolution and restart the NVR. The image then displayed on my TV. The desktop browser support by the firmware is outdated and I still can't get the camera images to display on Chrome, Safari or Firefox even with the recommended FireFox configs or Mac installation files to fix Safari. I did download the LaView Connect app for android and that was able to connect to the NVR IP address and display the cameras. The android app supports live and historical views so I won't bother trying to fix the desktop browser issues. I can use the desktop browser to manage other configurations just not view the cameras.
