After being impressed by my son-in-law's system, I wanted one of my own. Very good resolution of the cameras. The multiview is really nice to have. After some break-ins in my general area, I feel much better having the LaView system as another line of security. I cannot speak to ease of installation as others have, as I had mine installed. A shame I didn't have this system last fall during some flooding. I could have gone back to see how the waters came up over time during the night. Overall, I am very pleased with the system.
Effective for what it does, especially when you don't truly need a real surveillance camera. Everyone who comes to the door waves to it as if we have a camera inside viewing them.....quite funny!
i have this device hanging upside down from a GoPro suction mount, facing out my window. I put electrical tape over the infrared emitter, and bought a stand alone IR emitter from Amazon. When night falls, the Zmodo switches to infrared about the same time that my IR emitter turns on (it also has a night sensor). The IR emitter lights up my whole front yard, while my Zmodo which is in night mode, captures in sharp detail the scene at night. My only complaint is that out of the three different WiFi cameras that I have, and the three different apps that are required to view the cameras, I think it is the Zmodo that is causing some strange behavior on my Google Pixel phone. Like causing the volume button to not respond, requiring that I restart my Pixel. Also, the Pixel is much slower now, but that might be because of all three of the camera apps together, bogging things down. Other than that, the Zmodo, which is backed by an established presence in the United States, is a seriously good, bang for the dinero.
