I use my scanner just about every day with my iMac and Photoshop for documenting vintage dog show magazines and memorabilia. I even used it to reproduce color transparencies from the 1940's and 1950's that had never been seen before and I was able to share them with thousands of fanciers on Facebook. It does an amazing job and my Epson scans can be tweaked to, well, perfection. I bought my first Epson Scanner in 1994 with my first Macintosh computer. That scanner came bundled with Photoshop 3.0 and I have been a loyal customer with Apple, Adobe and Epson ever since. This scanner is superb. (BTW my scanner in 1994 cost tens times as much as the V600!)
I'm very happy with this scanner. Its large enough to accommodate most photo albums which has come in really handy recently. I finally got to the box full of photos from my grandparents which was sitting in my parents basement for many years. Scanning almost 1400 images took some time but the V370 made it easy as it was often able to have multiple images and scan them all at once. While I could quibble with the word "perfection" because nothing in this life is perfect it really does a more than adequate job even in the "Full Auto" mode. I had actually gotten the V370 to scan slides as I have a large collection which I wanted to make prints from. The V370 does admirable work with slides too. It would be nice if you could do more than 4 slides at a time but again the quality of reproduction is more than satisfactory. Another limitation of the V370 is that it only scans 35mm negatives. Since I have other size negatives than 35mm this doesn't help especially.
This scanners has the perfect size for a small desk hile having great features for the photography enthusiast. The fact that you can scan 35 mm and Medium Format film makes this scanner a great purchase for the money. Software is pretty easy to learn and use. Great for scanning prints for archiving in digital form.
I have been using this scanner for about two years. I bought it to scan negative film and it does a great jpb. However, I originally bought it to scan 4" x 5" negatives. It does not do negatives that size. It scans color and black and white pictures and documents with great clarity. My only con is that it will not scan my 4" x 5" negatives. Mostly my fault for not reading the description of the scanner.
