  • Pretty.....but
    Reviewed at http://www.Samsung.com

The camera is very pretty, not too cumbersome, but is entirely too confusing to use. Too many dials, and change this and change that for even a simple picture. The instructions/preview messages on the screens can't be reviewed comprehensively in the short amount of time the information is visible on the camera screen. In order to make the most of this product, one would have to either memorize or print the entire manual and refer to it for every photo situation. Very disappointing that owner has to download the manual instead of it being included with the product. This was a gift to me, and I worry that not too far down the road I will experience the same issues other cameras have, meaning the camera will begin to "eat" batteries, slow down with response time, and the like. Sadly, Samsung and others have the exact same cameras, with exactly the same features, only brand names are different.

Very good bridge camera.I would recommend it to semi pro user who like nice photos, and have time to prepare camera to take good picture.Design very solid, nice hand grip.Commands very well designed.Pictures are nice with nice and deep colors also with slightly aberrations in corners, but for non professional user very usable.Only lack is that there is no manual settings.

  • Excellent value
    Reviewed at http://www.Samsung.com

I used a 35mm SLR for years taking mostly nature and fire photos. I was looking for something better than a "point and shoot" digital. All the reviews I read of this camera were good, and I have to agree after trying it out. The SMART modes are great for routine shots or for those who like a point and shoot. The Program mode gives plenty of control over shooting features for the more advanced photographer. This camera has an excellent zoom, great scene modes, and the special effects make some pretty cool pictures. My only complaints are the speed of saving photos or processing, and the burst mode - it's a little slow. Photos at 16MP take up to 4 sec and 10MP take up to 2 sec to save to the card. This is not a problem for most of my shooting though. As long as VGA resolution is good enough for you the Motion Capture at 5 fps captures great action photos. The Continuous mode is too slow for me (approx 1.5 sec/picture at 10MP) For the novice, set it on SMART and snap away, it selects the correct Scene mode for you. For the more advanced, download the manual and spend some time playing with the settings and modes. Once you learn the features, you can do a lot. The 3D (if you can view them) and the Panorama modes are truly awesome!

  • Great Camera, Great Price!
    Reviewed at http://www.Samsung.com

I wanted a bridge camera that had a wide variety of features for a reasonable price. I definitely got far more than I expected or paid for with this camera. There are so many features and it's fun to try them all out. My only complaint is that the camera can be slightly slow, but overall, it's absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this camera if you're looking for a wonderfully priced bridge camera.

  • Fantastic Camera
    Reviewed at http://www.Samsung.com

I just received the camera today, and I am totally blown away! The features are fantastic. I took the picture of the bird through a closed window on the fly and I think that the quality is amazing. I would definetly buy this product. My only con is that the manual is online only, but no big deal.

  • Works right out of the box but,
    Reviewed at http://www.Samsung.com

Some have problems getting clear sharp focus. Through testing I've learned that if the subject is within a certain distance when in zoom, the camera cant catch up. It also zooms out so far that any movement can blur the shot. Put the camera neck strap around your neck and push the camera outward away from you to create tension to steady the shot more. Also the cameras weight is so light that even changing your mind about composition creates movement to blur the shot. Im going to get a replacement tripod screw/bolt and push it up through a 20oz soda bottle lid so i can suspend a full soda or water bottle from the tripod hole to more than double the weight to add stability for the long shots. Looks strange but gets the shot. The strap trick along with the full water bottle will help the stabilization even more. If you want more clear focus closer than zoom then you have a lot of scenes in the "SCN" area from the mode dial on top to set. For the sun glare on the screen ive cut the ends off a pop tart box to use a a sun shield. Not many will bother but it really works on bright days.

I received this as a gift and it is an awesome camera. I am still learning how to use all of the features. The zoom is amazing; captures the craters on the moon! I also love the fact that it is red :)

i got this Camera as a Christmas gift. and it was exciting to see how easy it was to use. The pictures are amazing! That being said I just spent some quality time with the online owners guide and now i have to say WOW WOW. You will be amazed at all the features this camera has. I was. Read the manual. It does everything except make coffee. or maybe i havent found the button for that yet!! I absolutely am loving this camera. You should try it! Did I happen to say that it takes great EASY panoromic pics? Turn the dial.....pic your scene ....hold shutter down and move your camera boom you have a seamless panoromic pic for framing.
