The controller did work although the box was open and showed slight signs of use. I have had no problems with the controller yet but was dissatisfied that it was open.
I'll be honest, I have yet to use the one I ordered. A co-worker told me of the Harmony Remote and demonstrated everything it could do. Waiting for a couple of more items for new system to arrive, nevertheless, I knew I wanted a Logitech to control them. This thing is truly universal.
I recently changed television services and to my dismay neither remote offered by my provider would operate the 3 units that make up my television system. I did not want to make a big investment in the remote so after some research I choose the harmony 350. Programming was relatively simple (except my Samsung sound bar kept coming up as a receiver when I entered the model #). Using the remote to turn the 3 components in or off SHOULD be a one button command but often they do not all turn on or off. I guess Logitech knows that because off to the side of the main component buttons is an additional power switch (for use when one or more components do not come on or turn off). The other thing is line of sight type remote this unit has no play if it's not completely clear it most likely won't work.
