This Screen came to me quickly but I was very disappointed to find it would not retract and was hanging at a slight angle. After taking one of the end caps off I found a piece of loose plastic and broken end cap that holds one end of the screen. There was absolutely no visible damage to the box it came in and all the packing was in place. I contacted Overstock.com and they quickly sent out a replacement screen and a freight return label. A few days later my replacement screen arrived and when I opened it up I found the same damage in the same exact spot. Again there was no visible damage to the box and packing material. After looking it over I felt I may be able to repair the broken component and avoid having more screens arrive broken. The screen has a obvious design flaw that could easily be solved and I am sure they are getting a huge percentage of these units returned. If they would beef up square hole in the end cap that holds the retracting mechanism or simply add a small screw through the end cap and in to the square roller end (this is the repair I made) it would solve this problem. I felt the Overstock.com people were very responsive and easy to work with but I didn't want to see how many times they would have to ship a replacement before I received one that survived. Its not fair for them to be responsible for Elite's design flaw. The repair was easy and the screen works very well, it just needs some redesigning to allow it to survive shipment.
