After working with another printer for over a year and becoming frustrated with its problems I was searching for a printer that would produce the smaller prints I needed for my side line business of kids sports and parties. The Epson 1430 works so well that I've even been printing 11x14 with great results. I don't expect archival quality but its hard to tell the difference. At the cost of some of Epsons higher end pigment ink printers I would not be able to recover costs of printing for what I needed. Only draw back as I see is with B & W printing. I'm considering obtaining another 1430 and converting it to dedicated black and white printer. Very easy set up and I use it wired to my computer for fast quality printing when I need it.
I use the 5126 labels to print shipping labels on a Brother HL-L234ODW laser printer. I only print one label at a time, so only half of the sheet is printed with each print job, and it may be a day or two before the other side is used. I re-insert the half-used page, turning it around for the next print job, but whenever I try to print on the other half the page ends up being smeared upon output. This is frustrating as I am basically trashing half of the labels simply because I don't print a full page with each job. Any ideas how this can be fixed?
I don't even own a laser printer. I use a basic H-P Ink Jet. So far, I haven't employed any of the versatile design templates - I just put my message on the first, clear white background. I center it - each line stacked neatly on top of the next. If I want info on both sides I just put it through the printer a second time (remember which side is "heads up") Say you have a brief message that you'd like 20 or 30 people to have in hand. The template makes it easy-peasy lemon squeezy.
Just opened the box and extracted my new printer. Set the unit up wirelessly with no previous set up experience and it was a cinch. Ran a couple of test prints, one just black and white lettering and another a portrait of my beautiful wife. Both came out splendedly. Couldn't be more pleased. Whole thing was about twenty minutes.
