I'm digitizing very old 35mm slides and negatives (color and B&W negatives) as well as large quantities of color 126 negatives that my wife took when the terrible Kodak Instamatic camera was foisted on the public (OK for small prints, but nothing else). The quality of the scans is excellent, and the Digital ICE technology has saved many images that the ravages of time have degraded. I had to purchase a 126 film holder, and the process of digitizing these images is rather tedious. I wish the process for this film format were as streamlined as for 35mm negatives. But that's the only shortcoming for my digitizing requirements. All in all, it's a fantastic scanner.
After 1000's of prints, over 8+ yrs.(!!), my PHOTO R340 Printer, ejected its last print. I've wanted a 'large format' printer, for a while, and the Artisan 1430, is the perfect replacement. Test prints after set-up, were "outstanding"! If you're looking for a 'large format' printer, the Artisan 1430, will not disappoint!
I had been looking for a scanner for a variety of requirements from 35mm slides, Medium format negatives, photos. This scanner does them all and is quick and easy has home, office and pro modes to suit your needs. No Cons.
We bought this for a business a month ago, to print large format posters in small runs - it's been great so far. The print time is pretty slow, and I'm not sure how fast it'll be going through ink, but the quality has been fantastic, particularly at the cost
