  • The Headset to use with your Cell Phone
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

I use a Plantronics headset at my place of business. I recently rented an addition new small office where I plan to use only my cell phone and not a land line. The Savi 700 headset has been the perfect solution to use with my cell phone and project a bigger office feel. I can hear perfectly on the headset and it is very easy to set up and use immediately.

  • Best headset I have owned!
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

This is the best headset that I have ever used for the computer. Calls are clear and it allows me the ability to listen to music through my laptop and into the headset without the caller being able to hear. Only thing I wish it would do is allow me to listen through Bluetooth while taking pc calls and not allow the caller to hear. Another option would be to pause music while listening via Bluetooth to answer pc call and then auto resume. Anyways those are suggestions above. I love this headset and would recommend using it. The only con I would say is to upgrade the dock with the extra battery charger for when the battery starts getting old it doesn't last that long, but that is also to be expected with any battery. But while the batteries are new I can talk over 12 hours before needing to change batteries which can also be done while on a call if need be. I still rate this at the top of my list!! Also we use this same headset at my workplace which is why I decided to purchase one for personal use at home.

  • Works just as marketed.
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

This is a replacement for an out-of-warranty Savi W730 that had a battery that no longer held a charge. It actually came with a longer boom, providing even better microphone sound than the previous model. It syncs flawlessly with my mobile phone, office phone, computer (for Skype calls). I use an HL-10 lifter on my old office handset and, as long as the headset has a charge, it works flawlessly. I even added a Plantronics Savi Online Indicator light that plugs into the lifter and let's people know that I'm on a call. I never had that before and it is invaluable.

  • The perfect headset for all my needs
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

Loving that i can use this with my PC/MAC, deksphone (Avaya 9620 VoIP) and connect via bluetooth to my iPhone/Android device. Seamless switch between devices on the fly with the simple push of a button. Wow, finally one headset to connect to all my audio sources! Only flaw I can think of is headset delivers audio in mono instead of stereo but it sounds great!

Sometimes it doesn't work, I must restart it. For the price of this unit, I expected far more.

  • I wish I'd purchased the W730 sooner.
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

I originally purchased this to only replace my office handset which I was tired of wedging between my shoulder and ear. I thought that the PC connectivity and Bluetooth were features that I'd never use, but now I find myself using them all the time. The W730 has replaced my handset, computer earphone and makes using my cell at my desk simple. I'm very picky about ear buds and hate to constantly adjust them when they have that "loose" feeling. With the provided silicone ear buds, the headset fits like a glove. I have no bouncing or slipping at all. I have some hearing loss, but with the free Plantronics software, I've been able to adjust tone settings to make understanding callers easier than ever before. Granted this system may be somewhat expensive, but with all it offers I find it an excellent value.

  • w730 and w740
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

5 out of 10, 10 being the best. The w730 ear style is more comfortable than the w740 ear style. I cannot wear the w740 in my ear all day, but can the w730. The Bluetooth communication is between the base and cell phone, not the earpiece and cell phone, thus limits the ability to walk around holding the cell phone. Downgraded the features score because of this Bluetooth "feature?". I cannot take the earpiece with me in the car or when working from home. I also dislike that I CANNOT use the Bluetooth to communicate directly with the PC. I have to use the USB cable. It is one-more-cable that adds to the cable mess.

  • Wish it Supported Stero Bluetooth For Cellphone
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

For starters, I'm very happy I purchased this headset. Saw some mixed reviews, but glad I went for it. Ended up causing my company to buy several of them. PC/Desktop phone integration was a piece of cake. Works great with MS Lync. Easy to pair to my cellphone. Only down side is I can't listen to music from my cellphone to the headset. It currently does not support this feature, only goes through the USB. Would love to see this as a firmware update, so here's crossing my fingers. But that aside, I'd still recommend the headset. I went with the W740-m. Oh, and don't forget to download the Plantronics headset app for your PC. Gives more control over the headset.

  • Great headset - Mac OS compatibility lacking
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

The headset quality is GREAT!  It's well built, easy to use, and has great features and range.  It's comfortable, to boot.   My issue is that Plantronics advertises this as compatible with Windows and Mac, with no specific mention that it does work with Mac OS, but it is severely crippled in comparison to when paired with a Windows system.  In my mind, advertising them simply as "compatible with" Mac OS is false advertising.  There is Spokes software for Mac that makes the answer/end button on the headset work with Avaya Communicator for Mac, but this same software erroneously sets the base's default source to the desk phone, no matter how many times i re-set it to the computer.   In summary:  the headset is great, but the Spokes software for Mac needs some serious overhaul.  Per Plantronics forums, this has been "in the works" for YEARS now.  How hard is it?   Just hire a real developer or two, and you'll have working software in no time.

  • Excellent choice for my home office
    Reviewed at http://www.plantronics.com/us/

I did a lot of research and decided on this model. I'm so glad I did.  I work from home and I am on the phone several hours a day. This unit is replacing a 4 year old DECT headset that supported both my desk phone and computer. First, what this phone is not - it is not a stereo headset for listening to music. That's not what I was looking for anyway. IMO, music listening is a different (mutually exclusive) requirement. To drive low frequencies accurately you need more power to push air. You would need more battery. This product is not designed for that.  Sound quality - Out of the box, there was a slight hiss when the line was silent. But it has several adjustments to tweak the volume and frequency range (wideband / narrowband). Level 2 volume and wideband frequency gave me optimum setting. I have tested it now for all three connections and the sound quality is very good.  Easy switching between computer, mobile phone and desk (landline) phone - I have set my computer audio to be my default line. So when I press the on button on my headset, it turns on the computer line. You can change it to either of the three connections (computer, BT, or desk phone) by pressing and holding the line button on the base. The best part is that if I get a mobile call, I can just answer from the headset. It knows that there is an incoming call on mobile so it connects you there instead of the computer. Bluetooth - Contrary to what some folks claim about poor quality BT connection, my Samsung GS4 connected easily and my mobile calls are equally good. Granted I work from home and have only a few other BT devices. So someone in a very crowded space with hundreds of such devices competing for airwaves may have a different result. Nifty splitter cable for desk phone - It comes with a Y splitter cable for connecting to your deskphone and its handset. Now I can either answer the call by lifting the handset (which I rarely do - probably never with this headset) or just pressing a button on the headset. Very good battery life and two batteries - I charge both batteries overnight. It has lasted over 6 hours total with about 50% time talking on the phone and I still have 25% juice left. If needed I should be able to switch the battery by putting the call on hold for about 5-10 seconds. Wearing options - I was quite impressed with how thoughtfully designed wearing options are. I had used over the head band before and wanted to try other options. Behind the head was most attractive since it seemed to stay out of my glasses. But I decided to ditch it after a few hours. This or other over the ear options may be good for people who don't have glasses. I ended going back to the traditional over the head wearing option for its secure feeling and very little pressure on or around my ear. I have a big foam cover to give me more comfortable feel on my ear. Other options couldn't beat that. Anyway, I think most people will find one of these options very comfortable. Last but not the least - the Plantronics Control Panel on my PC is quite user friendly. The best part is that it tells you how much battery power is remaining. So you can switch the battery in advance of it getting too low.
