I tend to go with Canon because their customer service and after-sales support is so good. This little Pixma was purchased primarily for my daughter who prints homework assignments and scans her original art. It does the job, and we haven't had any real problems, but it prints very slowly. My main disappointment, though, is that it doesn't use the standard Pixma ink cartridges, and finding the ones it does take is a huge pain. Also, changing the cartridges is very awkward. The scan bed doesn't open up, as one would expect. You have to go under the paper tray, and reach your fingers deep into the unit to get them in and out. Very bad design.
The PIXMA MX922 works great as a photo printer, auto 2-sided copies of documents, accommodates several sizes of paper products. The downside is that when you want to use different sizes of paper - you have to manually change the paper product and the paper cassette. The paper cassettes are not multi-loaded at same time. Also it takes a longer time to print, it's not immediately processed, but if you have patience, the PIXMA MX922 delivers excellent results. I haven't tried the fax feature yet.
This printer is just OK they were way more expensive ones cheaper ones but for my purposes this one is all right I just need you to print off the rare document that I need and I dont really care that it's not the best
