One thing I have learned with cameras; you need to keep your lens covered and free from scratches and dust. This cover is imperative with any camera if you want to preserve the lens.
I purchased these filters with the intent of trying to make a coupler to attach to my 'Point and Shoot' digital camera. I figured they would be a bit lager than the actual lens on the camera. They were and with just a bit of work, I have successfully coupled them to the camera. Of course, when the camera shuts OFF, the filter needs to be removed, and with the coupling rings I made from some generic OTC Pill bottles, it works GREAT. They slide on very easily, and hold on tight, until the camera shuts down, where there is enough pressure to have them easily drop off. The pictures I took, so far using them really show a BIG difference with the UV and Polarized filters. I haven't used the florescent filter much. I'm very happy with these filters.
This is a fairly decent UV filter for lens protection. It's low cost is offset by fairly decent quality. You get what you pay for. Unless you are doing a SI swimsuit or NatGeo shoot, this will do nicely. Glass was not very clean upon arrival and package was unopened so this causes me to think it was like this at time of packing. Shipping from this particular vendor was a bit slower than I had hoped for. The lens I ordered at the same time got here several days before the UV filter. I had to go to xxxxx and purchase one to protect the camera lens.
