Much sturdier than the old one i had(different maker). It extends very high and I love the level on the head. Nothing worse than getting the perfect photo lined up and finding out later it's just a tad out of square, which I find difficult to fix in photo editing software. The monopod section slides out easily...maybe too easily as it has slid out while carrying attached to the outside of my camera pack. Overall, I really like this Tripod.
Installation was plug-n-play with a compatible Pioneer radio, in this case a avh-x4500bt. Just mount camera, run cables and plug into the back of the radio. Also needs 12v power but that is right there with the radio. The video is not as good as I had hoped it would be but still, I can use it for backing up - what more is needed. I used rivets for the mounting bracket because the double-sided tape just didn't look reliable.
This unit has a flaw in it's min/max capabilities. I have not been able to zero out the min/max temperature readings. The only point at which they change is when they have been exceeded. That is not very helpful for knowing the minimum temperature reached within the last 12 or 24 hours.
