This is the most impressive computer monitor mount out there. I wanted an adjustable monitor arm but it had to be really good quality, something that would look sophisticated in my office. I also needed to make sure that it was ergonomic, meaning that I could raise it high enough for me to sit comfortably at my desk and support good posture. I was very impressed as soon as I opened the box. This is some top-quality equipment! It moves very easily, it looks very good, and I particularly like the hardware of the ball joint. This monitor mount gets a big thumbs up from me.
This will be really nice, because when I am tired of using my workstation as a standing desk, I can just pull the monitors out and down before pulling up a chair. Then I would be able to use the monitors side by side in landscape, since I'd probably want them a bit closer. And, I just thought of this, but if you have touch screens, this mounting arm would be even more AWESOME!!!!! PROS: - easy to assemble - easy to install (and move) - securely holds many types of monitors (I have Dell) - adjusts to a wide array of monitor configurations - I can use it for standing or sitting workstation - counterbalance option lets you adjust monitor height on the fly - plug ports in base
I love this monitor mount! It was surprisingly easy to assemble and install, I took my time and it probably was up and in use within an hour (that includes the time it took me to clear off my desk too). The arms are adjustable, and you can tweak the settings to either lock the monitors in place, or balance them so that you can raise/lower them on the fly. The base of the monitor mount has plug ports that you can use, and the arms have built in cord tamers (for the monitors). The whole assembly attaches to your desk by either clamp or bolt, depending on your preference. I opted for the clamp method. And since I have a glass desktop, I scrounged around to find two pieces of wood shelving for the clamp to grab (help disperse the weight and make this a feasible attachment). The end product is very nice. With my desk setup the way I have now, I can use it as a standing workstation. The only drawback of the monitor arm that I've found? When you have the monitors side by side in landscape position, the arms can't be flush against the wall. If I want monitors flush against the wall, I need to use one of my monitors in landscape, the other in vertical. No big deal. This will be really nice, because when I am tired of using my workstation as a standing desk, I can just pull the monitors out and down before pulling up a chair. Then I would be able to use the monitors side by side in landscape, since I'd probably want them a bit closer.
