Didn't realize it would be cardboard, but functions well and has held up fine for the first few months. Seems to be sturdy under the weight of my small monitor.
I am an online professor and I need two screens. For over a year, I have been using two books to prop up my second monitor. This monitor riser is just perfect! I do not use the drawer but the top of the riser is perfect for keeping the monitor remote off my desk. Buy it.
The stand is exactly what you need it to be. I have 3 27" Asus monitors on it, and I haven't had an issue. It is a stand, and it also has the option to have a bolt through the bottom of the stand to secure it to your desk (if you want to drill a hole through it). The cable management is sufficient, and end caps are provided. Overall, a very high quality stand. The only downside (which might just be a personal preference) is that the angle of the side monitors wasn't enough. What I had to do (and it works quite well, you just don't get a seamless transition), since each monitors can freely rotate/pivot, was tilt the monitors inwards more so that they were at a good viewing angle. This resulted in my having to put the monitors out on the edge of the arms in order to not cut off any screen space. But now that it's all set up, it's perfect.
