My wife needed a replacement laptop that came with a large hard drive (500 GB+) for storing family pictures and videos. Given that I had not purchased her a computer in over 5 years, we immediately noticed how much faster this E6430S was compared to her outdated one. This was the second refurbished computer we had purchased from Joy Systems on Overstock, and just like the first one, this one left us with no complaints. There were no visible scratches or marks, and the computer started right up with no issues. The included instructions were helpful! It has everything my wife needs, and we couldn't be happier. For everyday use, I couldn't imagine why anyone would purchase new when Joy Systems' refurbished computers perform similarly at a much more affordable price. Of note, the battery did in fact hold and sustain a charge. Once again, we are very pleased with our purchase, and we wouldn't hesitate to purchase another computer from Joy Systems in the future. Doubly happy customers!
Have had this for a little over a month and the mouse pad keeps sticking. Won't let you move, roll to anywhere. Also the caps are sticking, they won't go on or off without banging on them for quite some time. Hope they honor the warranty and repair it!!!!
If you don't know, HP's Zbook is their top of the line business class notebook. To me, Biz class = robustness and better quality components. I actually dropped one from about 31/2 feet and it works fine. They classify it as a mobile workstation and I think that is true. For more details, look up the ZBook on HP's site. This unit came with i7, 16GB ram, 240SSD drive plus optional M.2 SSD slot, (can you say "faaaaaast"?) and Win10pro. Great value for price - even if priced 100 - 150 more. (I work in IT if that gives any weight to my enthusiasm for ZBooks - Did I mention that they are designed for graphics intensive work?) My only negative is that mine rates a Grade B refurb. Refurbs always state that there may be minor marks scuffs etc. And that is part of the discounted price - so I have no problem with that. Rarely does a seller, even a major manufacturer, describe how to what extent minor defects may be. I have seen some use a grading system and this would be a grade B -but luckily, just over one issue. The outside perimeter of the top lid is very noticeably marked and scuffed all the way around. Just enough to be really noticeable and annoying. So be alerted that there might be more noticeable appearance issues than the refurb disclaimer may state. Having said that, however, I completely endorse this product. I use my laptop for 10 hours a day and much of the time as intended - on my lap. I expect this Zbook to meet my needs for quite some time.... Enjoy yours if you get one and Good Luck in your computer search if this one's not the right laptop for you.
