I have only had this laptop for about a month, but so far, it has been great. It is not dainty by any stretch of the imagination. It is actually huge for a 15.6 laptop, both in terms of length, width, and depth. It is also heavy. The charger is big too...and heavy. It is not particularly pretty, at best we can say it has classic good looks. so why did I give it 5 stars? Because I don't care about any of that. This is my desktop replacement and it is perfect in that capacity. It is very fast, feels solid, has 4 USB ports including 2 3.0 ports which is great considering I have a 1 TB external drive plugged in to it. I plug in an external mouse, keyboard, 24" monitor and printer. The external video port (forgot the name of it) is a great alternative to VGA. I bought a cord that goes from that to HDMI for my monitor. Also, with the size you get a full size keyboard, a DVD writer, and all the ports you could ask for. Lastly, it came with Windows 7 Pro instead of Windows 10 which is an annoying disaster of an O/S in my opinion. About the same time this arrived, my wife received a replacement laptop from her company which was also an Lenovo. It was one of the dainty, convertibles with touch screen and light. I mean polar opposite of this laptop. So if that is your thing, you have options, but you will be giving up performance as well as other key items. After using a computer with 16gb RAM, I will never go back.
Over all a very good laptop however, I have a few complaints. I was under the impression I was purchasing the Dell E4300, what arrived was a Dell E4310, now it is from the E4300 series, but it is not the E4300, the advertisement was very misleading. The second and most important, everything was covered in vinyl. Every keyboard key had a vinyl sticker on it to hide blemishes, the palm rest had vinyl, the trackpad had vinyl, even the trackpad buttons. I spent 2 hours methodically removing all of it, very frustrating. I'm only knocking one star because over all its a very nice machine. The solid state drive is everything i had hoped it would be, grate tactical feel on the keyboard (now that the vinyl is gone). The screen had a few dead pixels, one pixel right in the center. Very minimal ware on the laptop over all. For a refurbished laptop its quite the buy, its solid, rugged and fits my needs. I woud definitely recommend the laptop, the E4310.
The laptop works just fine! Charged it for 2 hours, downloaded a couple of things and never had a problem since then. This is one laptop I recommend on buying! I just wish the laptop came with a booklet because I am not sure how certain things work on it and there is a panel on the side that opens on the left and I have no idea what it's for.
This is a great product for the price. It's not as newer fashioned as current laptops but works great. I got it as an extra computer in the house for my children to do their school work on. I am actually considering getting another one for me instead of paying a higher price for a different one.
