Was not aware that this laptop was refurbished, and didn't have a DVD player. I thought I did my due diligence and researched it right, but this laptop still popped up in my search results for laptops with DVD players and new laptops. The problems I am having with this laptop are: 1. you can't power off and restart it, 2. you can't download anything to it (no programs like Adobe acroreader; nothing. You can't even add a printer if it's not wireless), and 3. it freezes up a lot. So, all I can do on this laptop is basic things like go on the internet, and use whatever program that is on the laptop, because you can't add anything else to it.
Bought this laptop for the missus and it was everything it was advertised to be. The screen was larger than anticipated which was a plus. She enjoys the touch screen capability. It is decently light (a lot lighter than her previous laptop). I docked 1 star due to the case of the laptop not being pressed together all the way, which was an easy fix. Also have a small issue of the screen bezel not being secured at the top in the center where the nub is to open the laptop. It works fine, just have to be careful not the peel away the bezel when closing the laptop from the center. All in all it was worth every penny and would consider buying it again.
I thought it was going to be a problem getting a refurbished laptop. However when I got the laptop I was surprised. It was just what my nine year old needed for school. I will probably buy myself one for Christmas.
