I now own two of this model TV. Positives: *No Smart Hub. I do not like having every device interconnected with every other device I own. I would pay extra for a TV without a Smart Hub. *No 3D. 3D movies give me a headache. They will never entirely replace 2D, because many find them annoying. *Solid design that makes use easy. For example, the TV correctly detects which HDMI ports are being used. Negatives: *Clear Motion Rate should be higher than 120 *As with most LCD TVs, the screen's brightness is uneven. However, this is almost never discernible. *The sound is above average, better than likely any TV in this price range; but it could be better with only a small increase in the price. Conclusion: This is a great mid-level TV. However, I would pay for a higher tiered TV if I could find one without the Smart Hub and 3D. Samsung has a solid reputation, so I chose it over similar TVs by more questionable brands. I do however have a top tier computer monitor that thankfully lacks smart features.
I purchased this Samsung UN32J5003AFXZA for my bedroom to replace another brand that suddenly quit working. The cost to repair that TV was more than the cost of purchasing this Samsung model. My sister received one of these Samsung LED TV's for Christmas. When I helped her set it up, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the picture. The color and clarity of the picture rivals the 55" television that I have in my living room. The only reason I did not give all excellent ratings is the sound. While the speakers are good the sound quality could be stronger. Overall this television is a fantastic choice for someone looking for a basic television with a high quality picture. You cannot go wrong if you choose this product.
THE SPREAD FEET MAKE LOCATION TOUGH. YOU NEED ALMOST A 30" SURFACE TO PUT THE TV ON. YOU CAN'T JUST PUT ON TOP OF THE CABLE BOX LIKE WITH A CENTER MOUNTED STAND.
This TV performs really well and the picture is top notch, you don't find many tv's this size with 1080i. The sound, is ok for what it is, a small tv that's meant to be viewed at close range. I removed the stand and mounted on the wall next to my treadmill. One note: the mounting holes on the back of the tv require a very small 75mm x 75 mm mount pattern but there are several inexpensive tv mounts out there
