We used this for second monitors for our employees. The picture is crisp and bright and they were very easy to install (depending on the tower model of the computer).
I'm going with 4 stars only because this is my first experience with a curved monitor and I don't have any comparison to go by, however I really like this monitor. It set up very easy, has a crisp, clear display and even a little flip out thing to hold your head phones. Only had to make a few adjustments with my computers resolution to get it looking great. . I wanted a good monitor to stream movies, game and surf. I think I found it.
Nice picture and good pixel response time. Built-in speakers aren't high fidelity, but fine for most everyday needs. HDMI cable is included. Monitor seems a bit flimsy, but for most use cases should be fine. However, excess moving / rough handling could potentially cause delamination leading to darker patches within an image. Not an overly common issue, but experienced it with a similar model Viewsonic that was frequently moved. Adding an extended service plan may be worthwhile. Brightness default is set to max, which can be too bright. Adjusting it down to 80% or so can help, and may improve picture appearance. If the sound volume seems too low in applications even at max, go into the monitor menu options, and increase the sound level there. If seeking to use the max 75 hertz refresh rate, it may be necessary refresh the video driver in the operating system (Windows, Mac, etc) to make that setting available. Also, depending on the video card one is using, select PC for the output mode. The default 60 hertz refresh rate and mode is usually sufficient, so the above isn't required, but can be helpful to those seeking the best picture possible. All in all, it's a great value for a large flat-screen monitor with built-in speakers.
