The four IR lights per camera aren't enough to be of any use, but the video quality, in the light and dusk, is great! Audio is superb as well. However, it comes with an Asian-German accent woman announcing the device has been turned on and off, and you cannot mute it. Lastly, unlike my other dashcam, it will not stay on without being plugged in. It's set on a nonadjustable built-in timer which shuts the system down within 10 minutes after turning your car off. It's a great price for the camera, but not worth it if wanting to record in the dark. AMENDED REVIEW (1/30/18) I don't recommend anybody get purchase this camera. The first one malfunctioned, after a little less than a month, I contacted the seller who provided me a replacement that was "bench tested" by them before sending it to me. However, I paid the shipping, but they paid the return shipping. They claim it had been benched tested, yet I noticed the plastic on the screen, which all new cameras come with, was not there. Furthermore, there was a small scratch on the screen. The bench tested replacement camera lasted for a SINGLE day before it exhibited the same problems as the previous one. It would be that when it started up, the screen would turn white and flash, then I couldn't see anything but a white screen. On occasion it would work properly but it would always shut itself down later, even though it was plugged in. I would also get low battery announcement and it would also shut down. Oh, both cameras would never hold a charge. Again, I contacted the seller when the replacement camera malfunctioned. I asked for a refund because how is it two cameras exhibit the EXACT same problem, despite the second one having been "bench tested", so I'd rather not have this camera in my possession. They didn't refused, then insisted on sending a replacement charging cable as they suspecected it was the culprit (okay..?). That would be cable number three (two cameras and three charging cables). I've attached pictures and a link to a video showing exactly what it does when it starts up. On occasion, as I said, it would work, but I couldn't view anything except a white screen. As you can see in the video, I'm at my storage unit which has red doors. You'll also see when the camera starts up you won't them.. Avoid this camera. I wish I'd never purchased it. I hope this helps. Learn from my mistakes and avoid this thing. I'll never purchase another INDIGI or CARWAY product again. By the way, today's date is January 30th of 2018. I have only installed the camera in my car so you can see what's going on. I have since replaced it with a much better camera that I purchased directly through a major store and I'm incredibly pleased with it. It faces forward and backward and features a much longer recording cycle as well. It also does not speak to me in a heavily accented voice which CAN'T be muted. Whenever it would start up or turn off, it would do so loudly. That's not the best thing to have when you're a rideshare driver and you're driving down the road, then it decides to turn off. Fortunately, even with the problems with this camera, when it was recording, the video was exceptional, during the day that is. Night recording wasn't the best. I had one of the two cameras facing inward. More often than not, the inward camera screen was completely black. I had to install a secondary infrared floodlight just in order to record the interior when the sun had gone down. However, recording outside of the car wasn't as bad. There was enough ambient light to where you could make out exactly what was going on in case of an accident, but it was "grainy". I have a video of it on the "U-Tube". Check it out. Just llok up tje cmeras name.
