the speaker arrived and i am very impressed with it. Bluetooth connected very easily to both of our phones (iphone and android). Also comes with charger and audio cord to plug mp3 player into. The sound it great for the size. Loud enough to fill a 20x24 room. Not great on the bass but for the size I did not expect to be. Overall it is small and sleek looking. Perfect for listening in a room or taking to the pool. would recommend
The sound from any Tivoli Audio radio is amazing at a moderate level. Don't expect to crank the volume to 11, it does well enough. Sometimes it can be too bass heavy on certain songs, but it is great for talk radio, which is my forte! The FM radio reception is tremendous. The negative on that end is that it does not pick up HD radio, but that is why they are championing their buggy, as of this writing (12/17) smartphone app to use the internet radio streams like Tidal, Spotify, and TuneIN radio. The Tivoli Audio Model One Digital is a modern upgrade to their classic radio the Model One. With this radio you get a sleek tabletop radio to match any home decor. There are many faults with the system that might detract the buyer. The most obvious is the setup. It is quite tasking and requires LOTS of patience, especially when using the Tivoli App which you must download on your smartphone so the radio can live update its firmware as well as play from your phone and the wifi connection in your home. I am very tech savvy and it took a while to connect both the radio and speaker together. I don't know what they were thinking in this day of plug and play easy setups from other companies. If you do get this radio, make sure you look online for a video tutorial and grab a cup of coffee. Another drawback is the extra speaker or any you buy, has to have a battery which is not included if you want a true wireless experience, otherwise be prepared to use the provided adapter it comes with. Another negative aspect is the dial that changes the radio channels. I feel that Tivoli took a shortcut here as the knob feels "loose" as you turn it. Tivoli has great potential in this system, but the steep learning curve might keep people from purchasing the radio. Supposedly this radio is "futureproof" meaning they are promising to update the radio's firmware. This was to compete with the SONOS line of speakers, as well as Bose with the minimalism and Hi-Fi sound, but Tivoli Audio has a long way to catch up. As a Tivoli Audio fan, I am happy with this purchase, but puzzled on why they made it more complicated than it should be to setup a system with multiple speakers. I do plan in the future to buy more speakers to place them about the house, including their recently released subwoofer. But until then, I will lie in wait to see how Tivoli Audio will fix what is ailing them, which is the smartphone app they programmed for this amazing system. The seller whom I bought it from shipped and delivered promptly which I liked.
