But wound up giving to my mother that just moved into a skilled nursing home. She plugs them into the TV set for peacefull listening! This is my replacemnt pair.....i take them on each airlibe flight!
I needed a heavier duty speaker for some free dj'ing gigs. I put these on speaker stands to get them off the ground, and it really helps the bass. Light and easy to mount, with lots of speaker connection options. I use banana plug at the ends of my heavy guage speaker wire. They're 25 ft compared to the 15 foot speakon cables that came with my speaker stand package. I only use a home theater receiver which also has banana connectors, but if I ever get a pro level amplifier the speakers will be able to handle anything (speakon, 1/4 phone, bare wire, or banana plugs). I recently provided audio and visual for a ski movie. I used these speakers on MONO with a separate powered sub. To augment the vocals, I ran a separate output to a powered speaker through a small mono crossover device. I set that speaker to about 250 hertz cutoff, while the pyles were running at 100 hertz. The sub handled anything below 100, with my receiver doing the splitting between the sub and the pyles. Sounded excellent.
Was able to use a Samsung wireless fast charger I found while cleaning out after an estate sale. Works perfect on my Galaxy S5! No more fumbling with the tiny plug in end to charge at home. Just set it on the charger and it does the rest.
