It is difficult to review this product because I actually never received it. It was purchased through an Overstock.com reseller known as iSave.com. They insisted the product was shipped, and a box supposed to be containing the item was, in fact shipped. But it didn't contain the GPS unit. i.save said there was nothing that could be done. Overstock.com initially said they could not help me either because it was a reseller issue. I have to admit that after a few emails back and forth with Overstock's customer service, they made me whole again by issuing a refund. So I will say that you can order from them with confidence.
Re-routes fine. Basically programmed the same as other navigation systems. I guess I was expecting more bang for the buck. Street names that have been updated in RL are not reflected here, or street addys if the streets exist but have been expanded with new addresses. Would wish the volume allowed for LOUDER and also easier touch control in inputting, though it is far crisper in response to use fingernail over soft tissue of fingers for touchscreen application, and that includes the back of the nail or if you have a stylus of some sort. The voice commands doesn't incl what I thought it would, such as verbally requesting a routing to a specific address, nope, you have to input the address the same as less expensive units. What I like about a comprehensive navigation system is showing on the map the cross-streets incl the name, but this one does not do that. Beware also the RT traffic reports, which might be important for a commuter, are thru a monthly subscription.
Just started using it for the first time today. It's a typical Rand McNally GPS, screen clarity is good, the equipment looks new even though I purchased a refurbished one. So far no regrets but time will tell.
