I use this scanner to organize and preserve my receipts; and it works perfectly for this. The flatbed is the only way to scan small, wrinkled papers, but it definitely takes a bit longer than a feed scanner would. For my needs it is wonderfully suited. Scanner is good quality (no easily breakable plastic flaps), not very heavy, easy to set up and use, with decent scan quality and the options to store the images in multiple formats. There are also some simple editing features which allow you to add text or lighten/darken your scans. Overall a great buy, but I wouldn't necessarily suggest it for higher volumes or for very high quality resolution needs.

With computer based phone service, my fax machine no longer works for me. This scanner is super easy to set up and works beautifully. Plus we have a record of what was sent. I'm very happy with it. I don't use it often, but it is a breeze to use when needed. I think the price is excellent and I would recomend this product to anyone interested in a scanner. It is a single page scanner and the image is excellent.

I like this scanner. It's faster than my all-in-one-printer. Easy to set up and use.

Does not scan photos. Big drawback from my old scanner that did everything I asked of it. Wish I had shopped around more.

This scanner does exactly what I bought it for. I scanned all my old family pix and put them on thumb drives for all the family members. I also was able to scan all documents kept in a old metal file and so I can discard tons of paper work. This scanner QUICKLEY scans. I do have an old linotype hell that does a beautiful job but takes forever to do anything. I have recommended this scanner to others

Was stunned to find this name-brand Epson scanner offered for under $$$ [prices elsewhere ranged up to $149.00 for the identical machine]. Unit came securely packaged with all that was needed to set up and begin operation. An installation CD was included; this CD automatically creates a file folder that allows the scanner to properly interface with your computer. I opted to buy this flatbed scanner rather than to rely on one of those 4-in-1 printer/scanner/copier/fax machines [which invariably develop problems with one or more of these functions]. I use my new scanner in conjunction with my trusty HP two-sided Laser printer. Once scanned, your newly created document copy can be placed into a permanent file in your MY DOCUMENTS folder or into any other folder you set up; you also can send the scanned results to your computer's printer. I first used my scanner to scan, file, and then make printed copies of deed documents associated with my recent purchase of real estate. This particular scanner permits you to make adjustments onscreen to the depth of desired detail or--if needed--to tweak other aspects of an individual scan (depending upon what is being scanned, how precise the printing, whether it is b/w or colored, and its size, etc.). In short, this EPSON scanner is a professional-grade unit that is offered for sale at a budget price. As such, it should long meet the needs of nearly any home office or that of most small businesses. No problems getting this scanner operational. Within 10 minutes, I was scanning and emailing photos to friends and family without any undo hassle or wasted time. For the price, this is an ideal addition to a computer system which does not require extensive usage.

Purchased the Canon scanner from Overstock and had nothing but issues with it. Only lasted a year before it died...and I wasn't wild about it from the beginning. This is much easier to use and the quality is great. Highly recommend this scanner.
