So far so good, popped in a wireless card and good to go! You CAN upgrade memory to 16 (4x4), but it comes with 8 (2x4) so you'd have to trash everything & start from scatch. It's pretty fast as is, so hold off til you try. Basic software only provided , so your on your own there as well. Tons of storage. May be smaller, but not small enough to put on desktop unless your desktop is huge.Overall though, I'm very pleased......and could not beat the price/value anywhwere!!
This i5 with 8GB RAM and 1TB hard drive works perfectly. I've had no problems setting it up as my new desktop computer. It runs fast and all my plug and play devices worked great from the start. Have only had it a short time, but based on my initial impression, I recommend it.
I purchased this computer to replace my old relic of a computer. I was surprised by how fast I received it and I really liked the size! I had an old computer tower that sat on the floor and took up a bunch of room. This is sleek enough to keep on my desktop without taking up too much space. The only gripe I had was it stated in the description there would be a free trial for Microsoft Office, but I wasn't able to get that loaded as it kept asking for product information. I will have to contact customer support for that. Other than that, the computer works great and I am happy with the purchase.
I feel comfortable to buy name brand refurbished desktop computers for my office and home use as long as they come with some sort of warranty. The HP 8200 I bought this time has blemish on the chassis, but as a used unit at ~$*** for an Intel i5 with 8 Gig Ram, 1 TB HDD (mine comes with Win7 64bit), boot up and works great right away, the chassis issue can easily be forgiven. I love the many available USB ports on this model, they are all 2.0 though. Just hope the hard disk will last, for it looks pretty old, that's why I only give 4 stars.
