Phone is good. Works well. Phone came with 4 units and 3 of them were not linked. User's guide direction is very vague on this matter. Finally got it to link after googling. Important feature like play voice mail is deep buried in menus. Got to cycle through a bunch of supported features to get to it. Blocking feature is also the same. Very hard to get to it. No visual-light indicator for a new voice mail. Other than these issues that I can live with everything works well. Phone is full of features and the ones I tried are all working.
Lighter in weight than the old one use to be. Installation was a bit complicated for me since I did not have the updated back plate. The way I got around that was made a photocopy of the back of the phone and used the REVERSE side as my stencil to locate the best places to install the two screws needed. Test call went well and love the cherry red color in my kitchen. Wish they also had the longer cord...but for now this works fine.
When my Slimline phone died I never imagined it would take three weeks to replace it. I discovered all new Slimline phones have everything in the handset which did not work for me and a majority of phones were simply cheap plastic. This is a substantial phone with the numbers in the base where they belong. If you are an older person like me you would be very happy with this phone. You can use it as a one-line phone and it was compatible with my answer machine. Set up is so easy--just remember to press Line 1 so you get your dial tone the first time. Absolutely great phone. I could not be happier with my purchase.
