I had almost no difficulty setting this up. I didn't even have a TV connected to the device or my cable box. The only issue I had was that I originally tried to use an older Mac (iBook G4) to setup this device, downloaded and installed the player, and only when trying to run the app did it tell me my Mac was too old to run the software. No problem, I have more computers around. In no time, I had downloaded the app to another Mac, got the device setup and working great. I now use it to remotely watch TV on my iPhone 3-5 times each week. Setup on my iPhone was fairly simple too, but I was disappointed that I needed to buy a $13 app for the iPhone. That has been my only disappointment thus far. I've been impressed with the video quality on the iPhone, better than I had expected. Obviously, better quality over WiFi, but still reasonable quality over 3G.
Sound quality is very good, volume very good. They prefer to be on their sides, dont sit well on bottoms. This doesnt bother me, just needed a sound boost to hear tv shows from the computer.
