I had one of the first Nokia cell phones about 10 yrs ago. Such great reception, it probably still works. When Nokia finally came out with these smart phones in conjunction w/ Windows, I was so glad! I decided to get this phone (about a yr ago) from Overstock. Best deal here. Get a warranty, just in case of an accident, please! Anyway, really, really love the phone. SO easy to use, it was not hard to catch onto the new Windows interface at all. So nice to customize. Lots of free, functional aps, like a talking GPS, gas prices within where you're looking, etc. One of the main reasons I wanted the phone was b/c word, powerpoint and excel come loaded on the phone, and that way I can save and do work on it. Nice loud speakers for playing music or hearing the person on the phone. The crystal clear reception that I had missed was back, baby! The whole point is to hear people - we are talking about a telephone right? Internet works nice and fast. I downloaded the google ap for browsing. Bing and explorer are pre-loaded, but not useful to me. Only things that need improvement - camera is not that great. It can't take a clear close-up, so I had to forget the online banking aps because it can't take a clear picture of a check or anything like that. I was surprised, because my previous work blackberry took amazing pictures. Also, when you are on the phone & you get a message, the dinger is full on right in your ear. They don't give you a little dinger noise - you will not miss a message ha. I could pre-load 2 yahoo accounts and 2 gmail accounts, although I had to download 1 gmail ap for business use- again it was free. Nice functionality. Love that you can download things between your computer and phone so easily/ sync up. No guessing, it knows what to do. Is it psychic? I could play music that I've downloaded onto my phone in my car through my car's blutooth speakers. How cool is that? Unfortunately, I think the phone got wet and went caput, so I am really mad I did not get the warranty - not sure if they cover water damage. I am now getting a Nokia Lumia 920 because the camera is much better, and there is wireless charging - again, how cool is that? I only wish more credit card swipers would be compatible with the windows phones - there is only 1 that costs about $30/mo - a major bummer for small businesses.
Awesome cell phone for its price range. If comparing to my Samsungs I think it's pretty darn good, on terms of speed, memory is awesome and it doesn't take up half the phones space. The only thing like any other phones outside of your network, you have to download you local apps. But like I said, it has lots of space to do so. I personally give it a thumbs up, and this phone I would trust giving to my 9 year old with out the worry of it breaking or getting ruined because it's not expensive at all. Only thing it feels kinda flimsy, but does come with a case and screen protector. Had our for about 6 months I think and it's still running strong. Also great camera during the day. All in all, i would definitely buy again.
